INVENTORY PICTURES PROJECT

Project Description: The project involves taking photos of all items in the inventory enhancing the photos using Adobe photoshop and creating a detailed master sheet of each item consisting of the diamond weight, item description and price.

The pictures serve multiple purpose:

  • The pictures will be uploaded to the company website, along with the item details. It will serve as a direct sales tool for the company.
  • The pictures will be maintained in the company information system, providing pictoral information on all currently held items in stock.
  • The pictures will be written to DVDs along with details for distribution to company sales agents.
  • The pictures could be used to develop company catalogue for select customers.
Project Size : The project involves taking pictures of more than 4000 stock items.
Project Role :
  • Develop a detailed project plan - direct and execute the plan
  • Perform research of various materials required of the project and obtain approval of purchase from upper management.
Project Tools :
  • Digital camera any brand with a macro zoom capability and with a min of 35mm lens.
  • Light box designed for jewelry photography.
  • Jewlery photo editing course.
  • Software for editing photos. I use Adobe Photoshop.
Project Milestones : As of July 1, 2008, approximately eighty percent of the stock items have been photographed, edited and listed.
